This was weird fun. My pal Mike Jeter and I built this strange cartoon for History Channel. We've made some great stuff the past few years, but I'm extra happy with this one. Mike illustrated and animated the whole damned thing himself and I brought all sound and music forward. The score is an arrangement of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, which was written to commemorate Russia's defeat of Napoleon's army. It was a pleasure to direct talented Voice actors and place them aurally into this world. Check it!
I spent the week bringing music and sound to this elegant piece by Paypal. Inventing audio for visuals is real fun! For the gear geeks out there: I used Elektron's Analog Keys for the bulk of the sweeping sounds. Noodling with hardware often demands a greater investment of time, but the results are well worth it.
Had big fun teaming with Pinterest to build music for some recent shorts. The ditty you hear was composed for the "Superheroic" spot found below, but we ended up favoring it for the others as well. I was trying to channel vintage Batman/Robin vibes. I still dig the wiggly flutes at the end!
I recently huddled with The Werehaus, Timothy Palmer and Chris Regan to build this animation for Datastax's 2015 Cassandra Summit. Placing sound into moving parts is good fun. Hope ya dig it.
